Self-Tutor Mathematics - ICSE X
Self-Tutor Mathematics for ICSE Class X was first published in 1995 to enable the students to perform well in their ICSE Examination, with the help of 500-odd carefully chosen and easy to grasp questions. The subsequent editions have been widely acclaimed, both by students and teachers of different schools throughout the country. I feel greatly encouraged by their response and remain indebted to them. The present edition is an endeavour to further improve upon the earlier editions.
The progress of each chapter follows an algorithmic approach. Understanding of each theoretical concept, explained under each topic, is reinforced by Sample Problems. These are followed by a series of well-graded questions for drill under Evaluate Your Grasp. Hints have been provided, wherever required, for self-sufficiency. Multiple Choice Questions have been framed to ensure an in-depth understanding of the subject matter. Two Model Test Papers with solutions and five Self-Practice Test Papers have been included for the students to attempt the same successfully in the stipulated time. Answers to unsolved papers have also been provided.
A special section in each chapter, under the caption Recent ICSE Exam Questions with Solutions, covers questions of the years 2011 to 2017, aimed at instilling confidence in students as they prepare chapterwise for the final ICSE Examination. The latest Specimen Question Paper (completely solved) has also been provided. ICSE 2018 Examination Questions with Solutions have also been included in this edition. A Mock Examination Paper has been provided at the end for evaluating the final preparation. The students are expected to attempt this paper after completing the syllabus.
